Mark your calendars! Each Tuesday throughout the warm months, you can stroll up Dunwell Avenue from Craggy Park to do your shopping locally at the West Asheville Tailgate Market. Vendors set up shop at 3:30 and remain open until 6:30 at 718 Haywood Road. Though there is limited parking in the lot behind the market, it is just a short half mile walk from Craggy Park! Vendors accept SNAP EBT and credit cards.
You will find a variety of edible goods to purchase at the tailgate market including vegetables and fruits, eggs, milk, cheeses, meats, baked goods, honey, canned goods, oil and vinegars, fish, herbs and mushrooms. Additionally, there is a great selection of health and beauty products, including natural soaps and herbal products and locally-made arts and crafts.
Pick up dinner at one of the food trucks that are frequently set up, or stop by one of the many bakeries, delis or restaurants along the Haywood Road corridor!
